Line Project

I was inspired to take this picture because all of the lines found throughout the tree. There are plenty of obvious lines on the tree trunk, and also several small lines and cracks everywhere. also from the angle i took it at you can see the very faint lines of the leaves and the light shining through. There are even some telephone poles in the background crossing each other. I edited this picture using photoshop, and used the brightness tool, contrast tool, and I also messed around with the darkness of the picture. I would say these lines are jagged and rough looking.

I was waking along the park path when I saw this design on the sidewalk and instantly thought it would be a great picture for this lines project. Your eyes are drawn to the very bottom of the picture, and are taken all the way to the top. The way this picture was taken creates a fast sort of feeling, seeing the lines so big and up close, but gradually getting smaller as your eyes follow the picture. There are so many visible lines in this picture, one the concrete, in between the lines, and off to the side. This picture was also edited on photo shop, using the brightness tool, contrast tool, and sharpness tool.

This picture was taken of the top of the walkway by city hall. I looked up and saw this, and knew it was the perfect place to photograph. Basically this whole picture is a mess of lines. You see lines on the wooden roof, and lines in the branches above the roof. It was edited on photoshop using brightness tool, contrast tool, sharpness tool, and the yellow colors were enhanced. This picture shows perfectly straight lines and curved lines, as you can see at the top right of the picture

This last picture was taken of city hall itself. All of the intersecting lines just really caught my eye and I needed to take a picture of it. There are lines in all places possible; On the walls, on the windows, on the patio, and on the pipe running down the building. This photo, too, was edited on photoshop, and I used the brightness tool, contrast tool, and sharpness tool. This picture show straight, and intersacting lines everywhere in this photo.
